Precursores do rock colorido no Brasil, os garotos da banda Cine conquistaram muito em pouco tempo. Amigos desde os tempos de colégio, DH (Diego Silveira), Bruno Prado, Danilo Valbusa, Dave (David Casali) e Dash (Pedro Caropreso) são donos de dois prêmios de grupo revelação (Multishow e VMB), conquistados em 2009, um prêmio de melhor conjunto (Multishow) conquistado neste ano de 2010 e concorrem na categoria melhor clipe (com “A Usurpadora”) no VMB, que acontece no próximo dia 16. Além disso, o grupo é uma das grandes atrações do NoCapricho, que acontece entre os dias 17 e 19 de setembro, em São Paulo.
“Tivemos um começo muito rápido e também desafiador”, diz o baterista Dave. “Logo que ganhamos os prêmios de revelação em 2009, a cobrança se tornou muito grande. Mas levar como melhor banda no Prêmio Multishow nos deixa menos assustados. Sabemos que o Cine veio para ficar”.
O Cine existe desde 2007, mas a música está na vida dos garotos há mais tempo. “Começamos a tocar em 2002, influenciados por Blink-182, Offspring, a-ha, Duran Duran, que têm um lance legal com sintetizadores também. Hoje tenho ouvido muita coisa, como Iron Maiden, Hangar, Ed Motta, Lulu Santos, Paralamas do Sucesso, sou bem eclético”, conta Dave.
Com um CD (“Flashback”, 2009) e um CD/DVD ao vivo (“As Cores”, 2010) na bagagem, o Cine sabe, e muito bem, que sofre preconceito. “Mas quem faz isso tem a cabeça fechada. Temos uma pegada pesada nas nossas músicas, sentamos o braço nos instrumentos mesmo, sabemos tocar”, reclama o baterista. “Tem gente que vai ao show para provocar e acaba quebrando a cara, porque não damos bola. Fazemos o nosso som e boa. Não temos medo”.
Contudo, a relação com outras bandas que fazem o mesmo tipo de som não passa do cordial. “A gente não tem muito contato com a turma do Restart e da Hori, por exemplo. Quando nos encontramos em shows, cumprimentamos e trocamos ideia, mas não somos próximos. Nosso lance é viver em harmonia com todo mundo”, conta Dave.
Sobre a cerimônia do VMB, Dave diz que o Cine não está preocupado com o resultado. “Em 2009 fizemos uma baita campanha pela internet, mas agora é diferente. Apenas comunicamos que estávamos concorrendo e os fãs é que estão fazendo toda a mobilização para votar. Temos um público fiel”.
E parece que o Cine não vai trazer nenhuma novidade em termos de novas composições até a metade de 2011. Os próximos shows, inclusive a participação no NoCapricho, serão baseados no repertório de “As Cores”.
