Com apenas 16 anos, o gaúcho radicado em Santa Catarina Israel Lucero desbancou o baiano Tom Black e foi coroado como o novo Ídolo do Brasil na madrugada desta sexta-feira (24). A grande final do programa aconteceu em uma Via Funchal (São Paulo) praticamente lotada e que viu o garoto se consagrar dentro de um grupo de 43 mil inscritos.
“O mais difícil agora será manter o sucesso”, aponta Israel. “Eu estava muito nervoso durante o tempo todo, mas consegui me controlar e não errar as letras das músicas. O Tom é um cara que também merecia ganhar; se fosse ele, o título estaria em boas mãos”.
Para quem acompanhou o programa desde o início, a comparação entre Israel e outro ídolo teen, Luan Santana, é quase inevitável, uma vez que os dois são adeptos do estilo Sertanejo Universitário. Porém, há uma sútil diferença. “Sou do Universitário, mas incorporo mais elementos do Sertanejo Raíz na minha música. Esse é meu estilo e não vou mudar”, afirma Israel.
E mesmo tendo dado um passo importantíssimo para seu futuro como artista, Isral Lucero mantém os pés no chão: “sou muito novo e quero continuar estudando. Vou dar um jeito de conciliar a carreira com a escola e a faculdade”, diz com conviccção. “Quero mesmo é estudar música”.
No mesmo dia da final do programa a mãe de Israel comemora 34 anos. O presente? “O carro que ganhei é pra ela”, responde sem titubear.
O show da final
Nada mais justo num reality musical do que uma final recheada de atrações especiais. O cantor Daniel foi responsável pelo primeiro número da noite, no qual apresentou a canção “Disparada”. Logo em seguida vieram Israel e Tom Black cantando “Wave”, de Tom Jobim, em um dueto que arrepiou a platéia.
Na sequência, os outros oito finalistas do “Ídolos” – entre eles Nise Palhares e Chay Suede – se juntaram para uma homenagem aos 100 anos de Adoniran Barbosa, cantando um compilado dos maiores sucessos do compositor: “Samba do Arnesto”, “Tiro Ao Álvaro”, “Saudosa Maloca” e “Trem das Onze”.
