A série de filmes Harry Potter será laureada com um prêmio especial durante a cerimônia do Bafta 2011 (o Oscar britânico), que acontece no dia 13 de fevereiro, em Londres.
Segundo anúncio feitos pelos organizadores nesta quinta-feira (3/02/2011), Harry Potter vai ganhar prêmio por sua contribuição britânica ao cinema mundial.
A autora dos livros da saga do bruxinho Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, e o produtor David Heyman vão subir ao palco para receber o prêmio. Eles vão representar toda a equipe que trabalhou na franquia de sucesso.
O primeiro longa da franquia, Harry Potter e a pedra filosofal, foi lançado em 2001. A saga do bruxinho já possui sete filmes, que juntos já faturaram mais de US$ 5,4 bilhões nas bilheterias.
A segunda parte de Harry Potter e as relíquias da morte, oitavo e último filme da saga, chega aos cinemas em julho.
