Enquanto todo mundo achava que Totó estava mortinho, o italiano mostra que não era o otário que todos imaginavam.
Em cenas que vão ao ar no sábado (08/01/2011), Bete e Clara conversam na sala da mansão dos Gouveia sobre as ações de Totó. Até então escondida, Gemma surge e acusa a megera do assassinato do italiano. Agnello, Adamo, Agostina e Alfredo fazem o mesmo, encurralando a vilã.
Quem surge para confirmar as acusações da família é Diogo, que mostra em que time joga. Clara continuará mentindo, mas acaba sendo calada com um tapa da matriarca dos Gouveia.
“Sono vivo, Chiara”, anuncia Totó, enquanto ela está jogada no chão.
Diogo então mostra sua verdadeira identidade: é investigador de polícia e estava atrás de pistas sobre a morte de Eugênio. Por essa razão, teria se envolvido com Clara.
Sem saída, a vilã deixa a casa algemada, direto para o xadrez.
