O epílogo que mostra o que aconteceu a Hurley e Ben após o fim de “Lost” caiu na internet. O vídeo chamado “The New Man in Charge” vai fazer parte do box completo da série, que será lançado nos estados Unidos só no dia 13 de setembro.
O vídeo explica por que os pacotes da Dharma continuavam a ser entregues na ilha, mostra um vídeo de orientação inédito e ainda desvenda o que aconteceu a um personagem que não apareceu no fim da série.
A partir daqui, começam os spoilers. O epílogo começa com Ben contando a dois funcionários da Dharma que a organização já não existe há anos. Eles estão em um galpão em Guam e ficam chocados, já que continuam enviando caixas com mantimentos para um lugar que não sabem onde é – mas que a cada vez tem coordenadas diferentes. Ben diz a eles que já não precisam mais trabalhar e responde a duas perguntas dos rapazes. Primeiro, ele conta que os pacotes vão para a ilha, que sempre muda de lugar, e que os relatórios que eles escrevem vão para a Estação Farol (Lamp Post) – que é a igreja onde trabalha a mãe de Faraday. A segunda pergunta é porque eles precisam mandar biscoitos de urso polar para uma ilha tropical.
A partir de então, vemos um novo vídeo de orientação, da Estação Hidra. Nele, Peter Chang explica que a Dharma faz experiências com animais, criando híbridos. Descobrimos que a estação – que fica naquela ilha menor – é a número 1 da Dharma. Chang também explica que os nativos da ilha são sequestrados e levados para a Sala 23 (aquela mesma em que ficou Carl). Lá, eles são submetidos a um interrogatório e tem de ver um vídeo que apaga suas memórias.
Por fim, Ben vai buscar Walt na mesma instituição mental em que Hurley ficou internado. Junto com Hurley, ele diz que vai levar o menino de volta à ilha, onde é seu lugar, para que possa ajudar seu pai (se lembram que o espírito de Michael está vagando por lá?).
Pelo vídeo, concluímos que, logo após o pessoal deixar a ilha no avião, Hurley e Ben saíram de lá para resolver pendências – entre elas, colocar fim às atividades da Dharma. Além disso, ele também levanta novos mistérios – por exemplo como é que eles conseguiram levar a kombi para fora da ilha. Para os fãs, vale a pena assistir várias vezes para não perder nada.
