Segundo o jornal “New York Post”, o ator Mark Salling, que interpreta Puck, afirma que não recebeu “um centavo” da Sony mesmo depois de o CD vender mais de um milhão de cópias. Já Cory Monteith, o Finn, disse em entrevista a uma rádio americana que tudo que ganhou até agora foram US$ 400. “Mas tudo bem, se eu for paciente e as vendas forem boas, quem sabe eu ganhe outros US$ 400”, ironizou.
Uma fonte contou ao jornal que a Sony, gravadora que tem os direitos sobre a trilha, fez um acordo com o produtor Ryan Murphy, mas o elenco ficou de fora. Os atores estariam reclamando com Murphy que querem uma parte dos royalties.
Enquanto não recebem pela trilha da série, Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele e Mark Salling estão se preparando para lançar álbuns solo.
